Yes, that is not a typo. I mean for this to be a small excursion rather than one worthy of a capital letter. It appears that the black box vortex has ensnared me in a material way. And as I am wrestling all night long with programming code, I find myself distracted away from the markets. And if you're not paying attention to the market, well ... you know, you'll be paying something.
I am currently working on a Ruby on Rails project that will involve trading algorithms. I'm also planning to develop a domain-specific language (based on Ruby) for backtesting trading strategies. This will be open-source of course. Before proceeding head-long, I'll need to do some more due diligence to ensure I'm not re-inventing the curve-fitting wheel.
It shan't be long, though, until we smoke the calumet together again.
